Why are mid-ocean ridges higher than the surrounding seafloor?

a. magma is upwelling


b.ridges are made up of chains of volcanoes like the Andes.


c.The crust is contracting and wrinkling at the edges.


d.The plates are moving toward each other,pushing up mountains.Why are mid-ocean ridges higher than the surrounding seafloor?
A. the magma is upwelling pushing up and then away like a conveyor belt. The whole MOR is one long rift volcano.
