Topographic maps? What's the main difference between contour lines of valleys and contour lines of ridges?

The contour lines are exactly the same.





However, the values attached to the contour lines will increase towards the top of a ridge and decrease towards the bottom of a valleyTopographic maps? What's the main difference between contour lines of valleys and contour lines of ridges?
one is for valleys the other is for ridges :)
