What deficiencies or diseases would be associated with very deep ridges both horizontal and some vertical?

in fingernails? it's almost like a deformity on some fingers. What deficiencies or diseases would be associated with very deep ridges both horizontal and some vertical?
Psoriasis can cause deep ridges and pitting of the nail. check out a dermatological site for pictures and info.(psoriatic nail dystrophy)What deficiencies or diseases would be associated with very deep ridges both horizontal and some vertical?
Horizontal ridges can be due to arsenic poisoning but are almost certainly normal. The nails grow from the nail bed and in most people the growth across the nail bed is a little up and down, which results in a corrugated appearance. It's quite normal and not a sign of any disease process.

I hope that was helpful.

lack of protein creates the white bands across the nails.

there are vitamins you can take to promote healthy skin and nails. those are all vitamin B, biotin, vitamins A, folic acid, vitamin C, and zinc.

make sure to get your protein as well!
