Any ideas to make a scrabble board have ridges to fit the letters in place?

I had one scrabble board where it had the ridges in with plastic screen type thing to hold the letters in place. I just bought a new one and it doesnt have that so the pieces keep sliding all over. I was thinking some kid of glue to make ridges or some kind of screen but that might not work, any suggestions?Any ideas to make a scrabble board have ridges to fit the letters in place?
The deluxe edition has the ridges on the board. A hobby shop would have the plastic parts you need to make the ridges (in the modeling section), but the time and effort involved probably would outwiegh the cost of buying the deluxe set.Any ideas to make a scrabble board have ridges to fit the letters in place?
I agree with the previous posters who suggested you buy the deluxe game that has the ridges. It would be a lot of work to make the ridges, no matter what you use. It might be possible with nail polish, or paint, but it won't look great.
