Here are some of the nutritional deficiencies and what they do

Horizontal, vertical ridges, and fragility: B vitamins

Ridges can indicate poor nutrient absorption, and/or

Iron deficiency. Those ridges could mean there is a

kidney problem also indicate a tendency to develop

arthritis if they are vertical ridges. Then the ridges

running horizontal can result from stress, either/or

infections. What does it mean to have ridges in your fingernails?
Could be Beau's lines - usually means some form of malnutrition, especially minerals (zinc, magnesium) or B vitamins. Zinc and B6 work together, so if you are short one you are probably short on the other.

It can be caused by a one time event (very high fever) or by a chronic illness (nutritional deficiency, undiagnosed illness)
calcium deficiency.
You need a professional manicure!
